Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Housing and Youth Homeless Services, the Manager of Youth Homeless Services is responsible for managing the daily activities of The Center’s homeless youth outreach, prevention, diversion, and emergency housing programs that serve youth ages 18-24 years old.
Additional responsibilities include:

Managing the recruitment, hiring, training, and scheduling of program staff
Supervising program staff and completing performance evaluations
Providing support to program staff during and after critical incidents
Ensuring that program services are trauma-informed and client-centered
Ensuring program contract compliance and data quality
Tracking program deliverables, completing reports, and communicating challenges to senior leadership
Liaising with program funders and managing monitoring activities
Assisting with updating policies and procedures of programs and services
Representing the department at internal and external meetings, maintaining collaborative relationships with all parties

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience: A minimum of two years in a direct-service role serving youth ages 18-24 years old experiencing housing instability is preferred. A minimum of one year of experience supervising staff is preferred.
Language Skills: Fluency in English required. Fluency in Spanish preferred.
Other Skills: Must demonstrate competence in working with a variety of diverse populations. Must demonstrate competence with trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, positive youth development, and strength-based service delivery. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities. Demonstrated skill in problem solving and leadership in organizational settings. Must have reliable transportation, driver’s license, auto insurance, and the ability to work flexible hours. Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities. Lived experience as a member of a historically under-served community (i.e., low income, communities of color, LGBTQ communities, immigrant communities, etc.) preferred.
Computer Skills: Must be comfortable working in PC/Windows-based environments. Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of Clarity Human Services and ETO software preferred.
