Job Description

Join Tessenderlo Kerley’s Human Resources team, and have an opportunity to get involved in all facets of HR.
As the HR Representative, you will work closely with managers and employees and be a key representative on the team by providing critical support in all functional areas with a specific focus on Payroll, EEO, BI reporting, compliance, and policy and procedures.

What you will do:

You will be a backup for the payroll specialist.
Design and develop reports, presentations, and visual aids to educate, inform and influence the decisions of HR and business leaders.
Assist in compiling and analyzing data to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with laws and regulations.
Gather data from market-based compensation surveys; use spreadsheet and data analysis techniques and instruments to assess results and market trends.
Assist in developing and managing key HR-related reporting metrics (i.e. headcount, turnover, demographic, talent acquisition, training, etc.).
Actively maintain and develop in building new reports, trackers, and databases related to HR.
Administer and complete federal and/or state administrative reporting as may be required, such as EEO-1 annual reports, unemployment, etc.;
Provide administrative support to all functional HR areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What we need from you:

A curious mind that enjoys problem-solving and thinking outside the box.
At least 3-5 years of related work experience in HR disciplines, with 1-3 years experience in analytics a plus.
Interest in and aptitude for research, analysis, and data management.
Setting priorities and effectively managing multiple assignments in a flexible environment is required.
Must be detail-oriented.
Curious self-starter: Possess the ability to work independently while exercising proper judgment and sound decision-making.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications skills (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems (familiar with HRIS systems such as SmartRecruiters, Kronos, and/or Ultimate, UKG (Ultipro is a plus).
Practices across all multi-state locations, subsidiaries, and affiliates.
Ability to help develop, implement, support, and review all HR department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems.
